Manager, Systems and Integration

As the Manager, Systems and Integration, you and your team will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our system integration architecture, including APIs and services that connect applications and back-end systems, both internal and external. Your team will also be responsible for our cloud architecture, including our server footprint and databases.
The Systems and Integration team develops and maintains API and microservice level integrations between the ActiveWorx platform and customer backend systems. In addition, the team is responsible for configuring and managing the company’s AWS footprint, including servers and databases.
You will provide technical leadership to this team, setting direction and ensuring high quality solutions. You will be a hands on leader who will get your hands into the technology and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and manage the performance of team members responsible for different system disciplines
  • Work directly with the support and development teams to provide support to meet customer requirements.
  • Manage and implement cross training to ensure multiple levels of support
  • Implement processes and procedures to ensure we are able to exceed customer required service level agreements.
  • Provide technical hands-on assistance and mentoring to your team.
  • Mentor team members on deploying new technology and leveraging legacy applications
  • Research and evaluate alternative technical solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost effective solution
  • Provide support to executive management in the cultivation and architecting of new product offerings
  • Work with partners and third parties to effectively define and design the ActiveWorx integration requirements
  • Be a self-learner willing to research and stay ahead of changing technology requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 7+ years technical working experience with a minimum of 5 year experience designing/architecting/engineering/integrating sound ECM and/or ERP integrated systems
  • Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and SOA concepts like SOAP and web services
  • Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Fluency in architecture and design across all systems
  • Understanding of Microservice patterns, APIs, event driven architectures and cloud (AWS)
  • Understanding of relational database management and tuning
  • Expertise in Java, Spring, microservices, and APIs
  • Understanding of database, server and application monitoring solutions
  • Integration experience (MQ JMS, Webservices, ESB etc) and UI frameworks (Struts 2, MVC)
  • Background in a variety of operating systems, server technologies, software tools
  • Leadership experience with excellent communication/interpersonal and decision-making skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues/problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid skill sets in FileNet P8 architecture
  • Working knowledge P8 experience (Content Manager, Process Engine, Workplace XT etc)
  • IBM FileNet P8 Experience
  • Experience with Datacap or other capture solutions is a plus
  • Solid working experience in Java and J2EE framework on various application servers (Websphere, Weblogic, Jboss etc)
  • Understanding of content management systems
