The Solutions Architect (SA) will work with the ActiveWorx development and delivery teams to design and build effectively architected solutions for our clients. The SA is directly responsible for understanding our clients’ business needs and identifying the core technical components of our solutions that will be implemented. The SA will be responsible for understanding various ERP integration requirements and specifications to ensure that the ActiveWorx platform can be efficiently integrated. As well, the position will support Executive Management in white-boarding and architecting new solution offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical project management and system design expertise
Give technical and functional guidance to the delivery and development teams
Provide support to the delivery team throughout the project cycle to ensure the design and development of efficient systems utilizing ActiveWorx standards, procedures and methodologies (i.e. design, design reviews, architect reviews and code reviews)
Map data and design sound solutions for our clients
Provide technical hands-on assistance and mentoring to the team members on projects
Lead and/or approve the integration design requirements of every customer deployment
Mentor team members on deploying new technology and leveraging legacy applications
Research and evaluate alternative technical solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost effective solution
Provide support to executive management in the cultivation and architecting of new product offerings
Work with partners and third parties to effectively define and design the ActiveWorx integration requirements
Be a self-learner willing to research and stay ahead of changing technology requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
7+ years technical working experience with a minimum of 5 year experience designing/architecting/engineering/integrating sound ECM and/or ERP integrated systems
Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and SOA concepts like SOAP and web services
Experience building applications through JAVA, .NET, and/or Open architecture
Experience in proper usage of open-source technologies (Spring, Hibernate, Java XML binders etc)
Background in a variety of operating systems, server technologies, software tools and programming languages
Sound process design and mapping skills
Experience with Business Process Modeling Language and/or other process design / modeling tools
Ability to understand business requirements, articulate process requirements and model solutions
Demonstrate a mastery of broad technical knowledge, with emphasis on financial systems
Leadership experience with excellent communication/interpersonal and decision-making skills.
Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills.
Strong presentation skills
Exceptional analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues/problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid skill sets in FileNet P8 architecture
Working knowledge P8 experience (Content Manager, Process Engine, Workplace XT etc)
IBM FileNet P8 Certifications desired
Experience with Datacap or other capture solutions is a plus
Solid working experience in Java and J2EE framework on various application servers (Websphere, Weblogic, Jboss etc)
